"Start" Saffron

Saffron stared Xenoxi down and charged at it, hitting it on the head with her staff and stabbing it's end through the chest

Xenoxi let out a harsh howl, rearing back before falling to the ground, motionless; its wings falling limp beside it. Kieran manages to stand up, shakily grabbing his sword and he slashes at the Xeno left standing. It barks in pain and jumps back, fur bristling as it looked between you and Kieran, trying to decide which to attack. It finally makes its decision and it jumps at you, barking loudly, its claws outward and it makes an attempt to slash at you.

Saffron swiftly stepped to the side and bashed her staff against the Xeno

The Xeno lets out a loud whine and jumps away, just before Kieran manages to bring his blade down on the wolf. The Xeno howls out before falling limply to the ground. Kieran barely breathes out a sigh of relief before kneeling on the ground and he grabs out a small Health Potion from his pouch before drinking a little of it. He winces at the bitter taste before putting it back in the pouch and he stands up, still shaky. He turns towards Celti, "You're safe now. Let's get you back to the village." You notice that he seems likely more than pissed as he turns towards you. "Your little grudge will get you killed. In battle, there are only three things that are important: your team, what you're fighting to protect, and your enemy." He growls, eyes narrow now. "This isn't the real world, Saffron, you can't run away from this. Quit sulking around like you're the only one who matters. The reality of it is, you're not." He turns away and starts walking towards the village, leading Celti along, leaving you to trail behind.

Return to the Chief

That was it, Saffron was fed up of keiran's treatment.
She decided to bite her tongue, despite the burning desire to strike him down now.
Saffron ran ahead into the village

When you get to the village gate, you see the chief waiting eagerly for your return. And you barely notice him smile in relief when he spots Celti with Kieran. "Celti!" Vinx says, voice filled with happiness and the messenger boy ran up to the old Parasaur.

"I'm back home, Chief~" Celti chirps, still a little shaken up. "Kieran and this lady saved my life!" The Chief looks up at Kieran in slight surprise, noticing Kieran's expression and his eye color and he frowns slightly before turning to you with a smile, worries hidden beneath it.

"Thank you, Saffron, for returning Celti back home." He says softly. "It is getting late," he continues, his voice normal, "you will stay here for the night, until morning comes. There's an extra mat in Kieran's home, you will use that." He says, stern, leaving no room for question and he glances briefly at Kieran, who was looking away, lips curled into a snarl. "Kieran, do I make myself clear?" The Velon says nothing but nods curtly and he walks passed you, Celti, and the Chief before heading to a much smaller hut than the rest. It was obvious that it was built as a last minute addition to the village, for the Velon.

Speak to Kieran

Saffron sighed and followed keiran begrudgingly

Kieran slips inside the much smaller hut and you follow him inside. Immediately you come to see how empty it was in the small hut. There was only one mattress on the floor, and you guessed that was for you, since the Chief had said Kieran had an extra mat, but it didn't really make sense to you; until you saw the net hanging from the ceiling in the corner of the room with nothing but hay and grass that was used for the bedding.

There was also a small chest under the net that was slightly open and you watch as Kieran, or whoever he was now, reaches inside it and grabs out a small cloth, pressing it against his arm.

Silence fills the room while the Velon sits there before he puts away the cloth and he grabs out a larger cloth and a grass-stuffed bag, throwing it on the mat. "You'll sleep there for tonight..." he says softly, his tone different again, and it was clear he was weary and exhausted. Crimson eyes were now a pretty forest green once more.

"what the hell is your problem anyway"

Kieran's head snaps up, eyes a little wide. "W-what...?" He chokes out, frowning. He'd barely been able to climb up into his own 'bed' before you ask him this, however rude the question was.

"you heard me..." she frowned

Kieran ducks his head and looks away. "I-I... y-yeah," he clears his throat, "I did... b-but I don't... understand..." he sighs, searching his mind for an answer, though he already had one; he wished desperately it wasn't that.

"Don't think you can be a jerk and then pretend it didn't happen!"

Kieran's head lowers at this and he sighs, "Oh..." he murmurs, green eyes closing. He was right, it was about that. "Look, Saffron, I'm sorry about that..." he grimaces and looks up at you, "but... it's not..." he trails off, unsure how to continue that particular sentence.

"Don't even bother..."
she lied down in her bed and closed her eyes

Kieran tenses at this, and a low growl can be heard from him at this point. He lets out a shaky breath before speaking, "It's a g-glitch." He says, not as confident as he wants to sound, stuttering through the last word.

"glitch? what do you mean?"

Kieran gulps and looks away again. "I... y-you see... er..." he trips over his words and shakes his head, pacing back and forth now. "You've probably already noticed that I'm... different from the other people around here, huh?" He decides to start simple, turning towards you with a small frown, but his expression stays blank.

"I guess...you keep acting like a jerk, even more than dalix"

Kieran sighs and shakes his head, "It's... not that, Saffron." He murmurs and sits down, leaning back against the wall. He seems to think for a moment before speaking again, "Have you noticed that I seem to know things that others don't?" He tries again, closing his eyes.

"yeah..I guess...where are you going with this?"
Saffron sat up, undoing her hair

Kieran lowers his head and runs one of his hands through his feathered hair, "What I'm trying to say... is... I'm not... just another mindless character in this game."

"I don't understand..."

Kieran frowns at this and he straightened against the wall, his tail curling around him, "You... do know that this... all of this... is just a game, right?"

"...yes"
